Steve Kaplan is the Managing Director of Bethpage Park Tennis Center, as well as the director of Lacoste Academy for New York City Parks Foundation and Executive Director and Founder of Serve & Return, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides free or low-cost tennis programs to individuals experiencing adversity and struggle.

Over the last 34 years, Steve has coached more than 900 nationally-ranked junior players, 15 state high school champions, 2 NCAA Division 1 Singles Champions, and a number of touring pros who have followed in Steve's footsteps and become prominent tennis coaches themselves.

Steve's students have been awarded in excess of $11 million in college scholarship money.

Levan Blagrove is an energetic and passionate USPTA Certified Tennis Pro with over 14 years of experience. He was the Assistant Tennis Director at Camp Mah-Kee-Nac, a sports camp for boys, for 4 years. In addition to being one of our Summer Camp Program Directors, Levan also develops and coordinates our year-round junior programs as well as assists both junior and adult players in outlining individual goals and creating tournament schedules and league matches.

Gawayne is a certified Tennis Coach from the beautiful island Jamaica.  He has been involved in this sport for over twenty-five years. He works as a Tennis Director for over ten years every summer at Lake of the Woods and Green Woods Camp. This camp ranked in the top ten best sleep away camps, for kids in the United States of America.

He worked as the Assistant National Coach for Jamaica Tennis Federation. He worked with Jamaica’s National Talent Squad Team. He also  served as the National Travelling Tennis Coach for the junior team players (national). Gawayne is passionate about tennis. His greatest achievement is to see students improving at the sport in his care. He teaches in a fun and exciting way. His lessons are always student friendly, and he maintains a safe teaching and learning environment.

His continuous aim is to contribute to the success and growth of his students, by providing quality instructions and assisting players in reaching their goals.Additionally, his aim is to use youth tennis training to develop life skills, such as time management, goal setting and handling adversities.

With more than 30 years of experience, Danny Clarke is known for his warm personality and endless patience. Danny was ranked in the top 4 nationally in Jamaica, in the Boys' 14, 16, and 18 categories, and uses his extensive experience to help each student achieve their full potential.

Nick Malcolm was ranked #1 Boys 16s and 18s in Jamaica. He is a former international junior player who played as one of eight players representing Jamaica. Nick is PTR Certified and excels at teaching players at all levels. He is energetic, outgoing and highly skilled at developing junior players.
